Summer to Fall Fashion | Fashion Raleigh NC
Believe it or not the summer season is coming to a close and fall is just around the corner. As eager as we are to start shopping for new items to fill our fall wardrobe, we’re also savvy shoppers and like to take our favorite summer items and transition them into the fall.
If you’re anything like us, you bought that to-die-for summer dress and don’t want to give it up when the weather gets cooler. Why should you? Transition it into your fall wardrobe! We show you how to seamlessly incorporate your favorite summer dresses with the new fall styles!
We just love this boho-chic strapless maxi and wore it constantly in those warm summer months, but we’re not done with it yet! When the weather drops, add a silk blouse! We tied our black pin-tuck sheer blouse at the natural waist and left it unbuttoned so the top of the dress still peeks out.
Remember the halter dress you bought for that summer beach wedding? We certainly do! Buy a dress you’re only going to wear once?! Nonsense, re-imagine it!
We’ve done just that with our navy halter dress. Who says you can’t mix patterns? As long as you’re working with two different sized patterns—in this case, small zig-zag with large stripes—you’re good!
In this look we used the thin halter straps and tied them around the waist to mimic a skirt and then added our favorite navy blouse with loose sleeves. Add a dangly necklace and bag donned with a colorful scarf, and you’ve got yourself a hot new fall look!
This red hot mini dress turned heads in the summer, and you want to keep that going! To keep that hot rocker vibe this mini dress gives off, we’ve added our zipper-pocket blouse in black and tied it at the natural waist. Add knee-high boots, a statement necklace and bag, and you’ll STILL turn heads in this hot number!
Can one have too many maxi dresses? Uh, NO! Especially not when you make the most out of them. Take your favorite strapless maxi and make it look like a whole new dress by pairing it with a bright colored top! We used the rope belt from our maxi dress on the outside of the top to define the waist, and added yet another bold color in our zipper clutch. It’s boho-inspired and oh-so-chic!
Bright oranges and corals were great colors for summer, and you know what? Nothing’s changed for the fall! It’s ok to bring those bright colors you wore on the beach to the fall streets, just break it up with more subdued colors.
In this look we put our new sequin crop top over our bright orange dress. It adds sparkle and interest but also tones down the bright orange. The best part: the back of our crop top is split to reveal more of the dress!
